Susan Elizabeth Moulder
A beautiful person to know and to love. Susan lived 29 years to the absolute fullest with a loving spirit as bright as the sun. The Third Annual 5K Memorial Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2010, and is being organized by friends and family to honor the spirit and life of Susan.
The day will consist of a gathering at the Fountain in Civic Square, Carmel, IN, a 5K Walk/Run for all ages, and a memorial celebration with music and snacks to celebrate the joy Susan brought to all of our lives. Please help keep Susan's memory alive by joining us or by donating in her name. All proceeds will go toward a Carmel High School scholarship in her name.
Registration for the 2010 SuSun 5K Memorial Walk/Run is Now Open!
This year's event will take place on Saturday, October 16th at 10 am; please note the later start time this year.
We hope you can attend the event to honor Susan's life and to help us achieve our goal of raising $7,000 for the Susan Moulder Memorial Schloarship! Because of your continued support, we are pleased to announce that the second scholarship was awarded to Katie Ebersole, a student who is pursuing a visual arts major at Indiana University. When we reach our goal, the scholarship will become a permanent funding source that will grow over time and will continue to support deserving students like Katie for years to come.
If you unable to attend the event, there are additional ways to honor Susan's life. 1. We welcome donations for our raffle (last year's prizes included a weekend stay in Hollywood, FL); 2. we will also accept donations of any amount to be applied directly to the scholarship fund.
Don't miss out on the $20 Early-Bird Registration Fee through 8/1/10. Please visit our registration page for details on how to register.
Thank you! We hope to see you on October 16th!
2009 Update
We would like to thank you for your support for the 2nd Annual SuSun Memorial 5K. The event was a huge success! Sunday, October 4th was a beautiful fall day (just like Susan loved!). It was great to be with people who loved Susan and want to remember her in a special way.
Through everyones generous donations we raised $7,500 that will go toward a scholarship for a Carmel High School Senior. One thousand dollars will be given to a Carmel High School Senior planning to pursue a degree in Visual Arts. The remainder of the money raised will be placed in an endowed scholarship account that will eventually become a yearly lifelong scholarship in memory of Susan Moulder.
Next year's event will be held on Saturday, October 16th. The 5K walk/run will begin at 10 AM.
Thank you again for your continuous support!

2008 Update
We would like to thank all of you who helped to make the First Annual SuSun Memorial Walk/Run such a huge success! We are happy to report that more than 225 people showed up to honor and support the memory of Susan Moulder on October 4, 2008. Through everyone's generous donations we raised $8,840 that will go toward a scholarship for a Carmel High School Senior. One thousand dollars will be given to a Carmel High School Senior planning to pursue a degree in Visual Arts. The remainder of the money raised will be placed in an endowed scholarship account that will eventually become a yearly lifelong scholarship in memory of Susan Moulder.
The first annual Susan Moulder Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Tara Keck, a Carmel High School graduate of the class of 2009. Tara plans on taking her interest in theater and art to the next level by becoming an art major at Ball State University in the fall of 2009. She is interested in becoming an art teacher or possibly becoming a cartoon artist. As a first generation college student in her family, Tara is truly grateful and appreciative to have received this scholarship to help her achieve her goals.
Please sign up now to honor Susan's life and help us make the Second Annual SuSun Memorial Walk/Run even more of a success than the first!
